With Ingo Gerstl in Toro Rosso STR1 (Open Class) as well as Florian Schnitzenbaumer, Salvatore de Plano and Thomas Jakoubek, all GP2 (Formula Class), the team was represented in full at the BOSS GP home race in Spielberg. Technical problems in free practice and in qualifying did not allow a full lap for Ingo Gerstl. Without time, the Salzburg team boss had to start in the first race from the last row and put the Formula 1 off shortly after halftime because of increased engine temperature. Florian Schnitzenbaumer was in the second row of the grid as overall third in practice, but he was already offside in the first corner by a competitor right after the start. With Salvatore de Plano in 6th and Thomas Jakoubek in 9th, a rather unfamiliar result for Top Speed. That should change in Race 2. Ingo Gerstl drove in the rain and in very difficult conditions from the last starting position to the overall victory. Florian Schnitzenbaumer took the podium in third place in Formula Class and Thomas Jakoubek finished 7th in the second race.
